The Richland County Family Resource Center wants to help give parents tools, tips and suggestions to help make parenting their teens a little bit easier. Starting July 11, the Family Resource Center will be offering the Active Parenting of Teens parenting classes for parents with teenage kids. Because of high water across the state, access to some of North Dakota’s fisheries is difficult, forcing more anglers and pleasure boaters to converge on those ramps and workers offering easier access. With that in mind, boaters are reminded to plan ahead for crowded ramp conditions and exercise patience once there. The deadline for submitting photos to the North Dakota Game and Fish Department’s annual Watchable Wildlife Photo Contest is Sept. 30. The contest has categories for nongame and game species, as well as plants/insects. An overall winning photograph will be chosen, with the number of place winners in each category determined by the number of qualified entries.
