The annual Donkey Ball game will be held at Sidney High School April 11 starting at 6:30 pm. The event is a fundraiser put on by the Sidney FFA to support local FFA chapters. Four teams of FFA members and alumni will play a basketball game that’s a little different, they ride donkeys. The Sidney-Richland Airport will be hosting an open house which will offer a free air show on May 22. Starting off the 2013 season, the Canadian Snowbirds, an aircraft demonstration team, will be performing their air formations in Sidney as a “mack up” of their their Sunday performance getting cancelled due to high winds at the airshow three years ago. Jaycie Rau, sixth grader at East Fairview School, was one of many students who sent in their artwork for the North Dakota Junior Duck Stamp Program. Rau’s piece, drawn with colored pencil and chalk, was chosen for first place. 1,075 entries were sent in throughout the state. George Hernandez, who has been a trainer for 30 years, will be holding a training session at Healthworks this Saturday, April 13. After lifting and getting into body building, people started asking Hernandez what he was doing so he became a trainer. Currently training in Billings, Hernandez works with about 15 clients and tailors workouts to each individual.
