    On May 25, the Sidney Chamber of Commerce provided information that a local business received a $50 counterfeit bill. They recently received information from a local bank that a $100 US bill was turned in for deposit from the same local business that was confirmed to have a counterfeit bill. The counterfeit is a little smaller than a regular bill and has no security strip. The color is the same as an authentic bill, but it has no texture.     Just read the great article by Jerry Kessler about the Knights of Columbus’ work at raising funds for our ultrasound. I’d like to submit a correction, and that is that the excess funds will not be used for general operating expenses, but will be set aside for the ultrasound machine. The funds will go towards any needed preventative maintenance checks, possible repairs, or replacement of the machine many years from now.
