The McKenzie County Community Foundation gave out $3,800 in grants in December 2017. Recipients were: Save the Maah Daah Hey, Pioneer Museum/McKenzie County, Summit Counseling and Long X Arts Foundation. These grants were made possible with key gifts from area donors. The Christmas fundraising campaign of the Williston Salvation Army is running dangerously behind. As of Dec. 18, total donations to the Williston Salvation Army had reached only $84,500. On the same date last year, total donations were just over $116,500. “That’s a shortage of $32,000,” said Captain Cappy Moore, co-leader of the Williston Salvation Army. “Without help, we won’t reach our $183,000 Christmas fundraising goal.” If the goal isn’t met by Dec. 31, programs could suffer in 2018. This year radiology, medical records, nurses stations, laboratory, physical therapy, as well as Cheryl and Ashley.
