NOTICE OF DISPOSAL OF TAX-DEED LANDS BY SALE AT PUBLIC AUCTION NOTICE HEREBY IS GIVEN, that each of the tax-deed lands listed and described below shall be sold by Richland County, Montana at public auction at 2:00 o’clock P.M. on Monday the 25th day of November, 2024 in the Commissioners’ Chambers on the third floor of the Richland County Courthouse, 201 West Main, Sidney, Richland County, Montana. As required by § 7-8-2301(2), MCA, prior to entering an order of disposal of any of the lands, the Board of County Commissioners determined and fixed the price of each parcel to be sold, as stated in the listing below; and the sale may not be made for a price less than the sales price determined and fixed by the Board. As required by § 7-8-2302(2), MCA, the fair market value of the lands as determined and fixed by the Montana Department of Revenue is stated in the listing below. All sales are subject to the following repurchase rights pursuant to § 7-8-2303, MCA: At any time up to 24 hours before the time fixed for the sale, the taxpayer or the taxpayer’s successor in interest or legal representative may repurchase the property from the county, subject to the reservations provided for in § 7-8-2305, MCA, by payment to the county of the full amount of the taxes, assessments, penalties, and interest due on the land at the time of taking the tax deed plus interest on the full amount at the rate provided for in § 15-16-102, MCA, from the date of the tax deed to the date of repurchase as well as the costs of the county in taking the tax deed and additional taxes or assessments due, if any, at the time of repurchase. Pursuant to § 7-8-2305(2), MCA, the county will reserve 6¼% royalty interest in the oil, gas, other hydrocarbons, and minerals produced from each of the lands.
