Wednesday, November 6, from 11:00am – 2:00pm at Millers’ Corner of Sidney, business leaders and other citizens will be voluntarily arrested, booked and jailed in this fundraiser benefiting the March of Dimes. They will be fingerprinted, have theirmug shot taken and go before a “judge”, for sentencing before being locked up. Jailbirds will then spend time behind bars phoning family, friends and co-workers to raise bail in the form of contributions to the March of Dimes, Montana. By the day of the walk, the event had raised $13,151.25, by the end of the fundraising campaign it is projected that the event will bring in approx. $24,000.00! It was estimated that there were about 75 walkers, including children.
