    The Fairview Volunteer Fire Department moved into its spacious new fire hall in time to answer its first call December 30th. With ample space to house the seven fire trucks as well as all the gear needed to fight fires and handle accidents, the new fire hall is a vast improvement over the old, crowded one.     On Monday, December 4, attorneys for Lower Yellowstone Irrigation Project filed the final reply brief to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals to end the injunction on construction of the concrete weir and fish bypass at Intake. Oral arguments in the case should be heard in March, probably in Portland, OR.     Sidney Sugars is predicting above average tonnage at 32 and average sugar at 17 to 18 for the 2017 sugarbeet crop, based on root samples taken last week.
