    The Williston City Commission has approved grant requests totaling $50,000 for 15 nonprofit projects in the Williston region.     BNSF delivered the first 100 Railcar Unit Train of Sand to the Red River Stony Creek Rail Yard in Williston in December.     Proceeds from the voter-approved Public Safety Sales Tax are going to help purchase $3 million in new equipment and vehicles for the Williston Fire Department.     As the director of Williston Public Works, Dave Tuan runs an organization that deals with a fair amount of mud and muck, but it's when he's off the clock that he really gets his hands dirty. Tuan recently completed the World's Toughest Mudder, a 24-hour timed obstacle course race that features a five-mile dirt track and some seemingly impossible climbs, jumps, swims and crawls.
