The highlight of the 2013 year for the Watford City FFA Chapter came Thursday, April 4th when our chapter held its 54th annual Awards Banquet. Over 200 parents, members and guests were in attendance. At a special October meeting, Watford City FFA recently held its annual Greenhand Induction ceremonies. At these ceremonies, 29 members received their Greenhand degree from the Watford City Chapter this year. In order to earn the degree of Greenhand, members are required to memorize the FFA Creed, and have extensive knowledge in Parliamentary Procedure and a basic understanding of the history and purposes of the FFA on the local, state, and national level. The Watford City FFA Chapter along with nine other chapters from northwest North Dakota recently held its annual District Leadership Conference at Williston State College. Watford City was well represented with 27 of its members attending along with advisors, Justin Johnsrud and Scott Wisness.
